CBBC Presenter Strips For FHM March 29 2007 Parents say Angellica's a poor role model
'I've loved every minute of CBBC, but now the time has come to move on, I need to change my image,' she told the magazine. ' And if I am going to change my image, I have to do things to make people sit up.' Brushing any idea that the kids she presents to might find her decision to strip for the magazine somewhat shoddy, Angellica says: 'Anyone in kids' TV who says they would never do a men's mag shoot is talking rubbish.' The presenter's interview makes startling reading – particularly for any innocent parent who hadn't considered the sex appeal of children's TV. ' You'd be surprised how many guys watch CBBC. When I first started I got boxer shorts from suitors and letters from prisoners thanking me for 'making their sentences more enjoyable'. Since text messaging became big the shows have been inundated. Once time we did this thing asking what kids would most like to get their teeth into. Straight away these texts poured in saying guys wanted to get into my bum and my breasts.' A spokesperson for the BBC said; 'CBBC works closely with its presenters to help them avoid doing anything that compromises the reputation of CBBC or the programmes they're connected with.' |
